Let us make some Italian style pasta for breakfast today. I am going to give you an easy recipe and simple creamy cheesy solution.
Though I was never a Pasta lover , this contest made me experiment with it’s new baby Spirali and this truly has spun its magic on me. Hence I named it Del Monte Spirali Spin. I love white sauce and the fresh earthly vegetables just make it irresistible and being very light for the palate, it is welcoming the goodness to your tummy.
Let us see how to make the white sauce. I tried to use the most common ingredients which would be available in your kitchen. You can use Del Monte sauces too.
White sauce:
Ingredients:
- Butter: 2 table spoons
- All purpose flour: 3 table spoons
- Milk: One cup
- Salt and fresh ground pepper: to taste
Method:
Add butter to a hot pan, let it simmer, add flour, stir it well and add milk slowly while stirring to avoid lumps. Add salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.
Cook it in low flame till it comes to a sauce like consistency.
Pasta preparation:
Boil pasta as per the instructions on the Del Monte pasta. I have taken 150 gms of pasta.
Preparing vegetables for cooking:
Garlic Pods crushed and finely chopped – 4-5
Ginger – 2 inch piece slivered finely
Brocolli florets – 1 cup
Carrots peeled and diced – 1 cup
Zuchini diced – 1/2 cup
Sweet corn – 1 cup
Blanch all the vegetables separately. You may lightly boil the veggies to gain tenderness for about 8-10 minutes. if you want it to be softer, keep it for a couple of minutes more and add a bit of olive oil once to take it out from the water.
Spirali Spin Preparation
In a wok add some butter and Olive oil.Bring them to heat.
Add crushed and chopped garlic and then slivered ginger. Fry it for a minute.
Add all blanched vegetables.
Cook for five minutes.
Add pasta and toss well so they mix evenly. Add the white sauce and keep it closed for 2-3 minutes while it settles.
Preparation time : 20 minutes
Cooking time 20 minutes
Total 40 minutes
